Permalink Reply by Rory on November 29, 2011 at 8:52am Pervara, I know you wrote this last year BUT still not much has changed. I think they want to only provide tracking that is useful IF you are spending money advertising w/ them. Then they provide them. They are still a very closed system but it may be because of the privacy issues they have had. I am working on getting more into Google Plus but still trying to figure that out. What have you found out?
Permalink Reply by Pervara Kapadia on November 29, 2011 at 9:36am Hi Rory, true Facebook is still not moving ahead with disclosure and sharing of in-depth information. Infact it has gone a little sad since now as Facebook Page Administrator we do not know who our Community people are. Till a couple of weeks back we could atleast who they were. Now when you click who has liked your Page you are lead onto the 'Insights' which is demographic only. This is very unfortunate.
Google+ is good however no analytics as yet though Google informs that the Google Analytic will be shared for Google Plus as well. The other negative is that we cannot use third party platform to schedule for Google Plus. So we cannot schedule a Post which will get onto the Feed automatically.
Lets see how things go.
Thanks Rory for sharing your thoughts.
