As I personally interview people I have to say that I do look toward LinkedIn to see candidate backgrounds and why colleagues recommended them. For one, it gives me an idea of how intrenched in the industry they are and if they stay connected. Second, some reason it gives me a sense that I know a bit more about them from a business perspective.
