5 FREE Online Based Web & Design Tools

Ahhh Free! My favorite word! Being online and having to make social media be a huge part of my life, I have found several helpful tools that truly have made my life easier when trying to alter or create a graphic to post on a blog or website that anyone can figure out and use! I found the best and easiest ones are free online!

I came across these tools for the simple reason MY COMPUTER CRASHED! Yes, my lovely supposed to be trusty computer. In all the years I have had computers not once has this happened. In learning my lesson to backup everything virtually, I have found that if I can use an online tool and not have to use an application on my computer, the better off I am. So in my discovery, I thought I would share this!

  • ColorZilla - This handy tool helps find what colors are used on a website. It's a Firefox add on that rocks! HUGE HELP! Basically what you do is hit Web Page Analyzer and at the bottom of the pull down when you right click on a page and it will give you ALL the colors used on a site. Mouse over each color and presto! Gives you the Hex # and where on the site it is from.
  • Zamzar.com - I had to add a PDF document to a website in both Word and PDF for download. I couldn't get the PDF to open in Word so I just went to this site, uploaded the document and you can choose which format you would like to convert it to and it emails you! No sign up or anything and totally FREE up to 100MB and they also have a File Sending and Video Download service for free as well up to a certain size.

  • Pixlr.com - LOVE LOVE LOVE this! First, it's online, it's FREE and it's like a free version of a Photoshop. Obviously not as full featured but I played around with it and it was a HUGE help for creating web ready graphics and much more. I was surprised. Easy to use and I am not a Photoshop person really.

  • Quackit (online web editor) BUT you have to go to Online HTML Editor because I couldn't find a link to this from the home page. Just delete everything they have in there an you can hit SOURCE on the menu and enter your code and you will see what it will look like on the web. Used this already about 4 times this week! Altered it in here and BAM... cut an pasted the code into the site.

  • pForm - This great if you need to design and add a quick form to your site! It's an easy click and slide type service. It's an HTML form so all you do is take the code and paste it. You can then just add a line of code to get it to email you info from the form.

There you have it! 5 great FREE tools for you to stay up all night playing with like I did!

Which ones do you like and use?

I used a few of these tools over the weekend! Pixlr is fantastic! Saves a bundle on several things I would have used Photoshop for.
